All is set for the maiden hall week celebration of Hilla Limann Hall of the University of Ghana as preparations for a successful event has been put in place by the hall’s diligent Interim Management and Executives of the Junior Common Room (JCR).
The hall which is though new to week celebrations on campus can boast of proficient Organizing Committee members who are poised to set the pace with yet new and exciting activities to make this celebration the finest of all events on campus.
Speaking to the Organizing Secretary of the hall, Mr. Daniel Larbie Asare popularly known as Walisky, he acknowledged the fact that “all plans and activities are under good standing so obviously all is set for the hall week to take off.” “Students should expect nothing but the best and appreciate the effort of the current JCR Executives and avoid all forms of negative criticisms” he also added.
The hall’s first ever celebration is under the theme, “Making Legon A World Class University for Africa: The Role of the Student Leaders of UG.”
The program line up to mark the hall’s first ever week celebration are:
Wednesday February 29 Launching @ hall’s Observatory, Candle-light Procession & Barbeque and Movie Night @ hall’s B-Ball Court
Thursday March 1 Blood Donation in the hall and Basketball Competition @ hall’s B-Ball Court
Friday March 2 Debate @ hall’s Badminton Court and Alma Mata Day in the hall
Saturday March 3 Open Air Concert @ the hall’s forecourt
Sunday March 4 Thanksgiving Service @ M.P.U., and the “Gargantuan” Beach Party
Hilla Limann hall is one of the newly inaugurated halls of residence of the University of Ghana, Legon named after Ghana’s illustrious son Dr. Hilla Limann [of blessed memory].
