Weather experts in Botswana predicted that temperatures could rise to as high as 40 degrees Celsius, as of Oct. 20 going forward into the following week.

In a statement, the southern Africa nation’s Department of Meteorological Services advised members of the public that there will be a significant increase in temperatures over the country from Oct. 20, 2019 into the following week.

“Extremely hot temperatures of 38 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius are expected over Chobe, Ngami, Gantsi and Kgalagadi districts in the northwestern parts of Botswana on Oct. 20, 2019,” said the statement.

According to the statement, these extremely hot temperature conditions are due to the persistence of the hot northerly continental air mass or wind flow. Enditem
