Kenichi, in accepting his poor technical decisions on the day praised his players, for showing character but said all accusing fingers should be pointed to his direction.

images.jpg21384 “I am proud of our players. They played very well and they made the best effort they could, but I think it was my fault, we conceded two early goals,” Yastuhashi said.

When questioned why he blames himself for the loss, he noted, “that is something that I have to analyse and I will keep to myself.”

Contrary to protests from Hearts fans over the conduct of the referee, Yatsuhashi described officiating as “excellent”.

“Officiating was excellent, I have no complaints. I don’t think we had many problems with officiating. I think many calls went either way. Sometimes it was in our favour, sometimes it was their favour. The fact is that, we didn’t play well enough in the first half, we did well in the second half, but it was not good enough to win the game.”

The 46-year-old tactician admired his opponents for their high standard of play saying “we have to give credit to our opponents. I think they played very well.”
