C.K Akunnor says Hearts of Oak’s win over All Stars on Sunday has provided the tonic for next week’s Super Clash against Asante Kotoko.

Goals from Laryea Kingston, James Abban and a classic by Sadat Karim secured a 3-0 victory of All Stars on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The impressive result moves Hearts to second with AshantiGold yet to play against Berekum Chelsea- who were on CAF Champions League duty- on Thursday.

The Phobians are ten points behind the leaders but Akunnor believes his side’s win has come in handy.

”The win means a lot. I mean the fact that we won the match gives us a lot of motivation, spirits will be high,” the ex-Ghana captain said.

”The boys will start to believe in their selves and the goals were good.”

Hearts have now managed back-to-back wins under the ex Black Stars captain who took over from Serbian Nebojsa Vucicevic who was sacked following a string of poor results.
