Hearts midfielder Kingston in trouble for playing truancy

Hearts of Oak midfielder Laryea Kingston could face sanctions after he allegedly broke camp rules.

The 30-year-old reported reluctance to stay in camp with his colleagues at the team’s plush Marcel Dessaily Lizzy Sports Complex ahead of league matches is creating massive inward agitations among the playing body.

Reports say the ex-Heart of Midlothian influential trains with his team-mates but prefer to stay out of camping activities- which is in sharp contrast to the rules of the club.

“Even though he is the first to report to training, he doesn’t like the idea of camping with his colleagues to foster team bonding before the games,” a source close to the club is quoted by the 90 Minutes newspaper

“Though the technical team has complained bitterly about his actions, it has fallen on deaf ears as the player prefers the warmth and comfort of his bed, family to camping with his colleagues,”

Kingston has not featured for the club since he received the marching off orders during their Premier League game against rivals Asante Kotoko.

He re-joined his boyhood club after terminating his contract with Israeli side Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
