The Headmaster of Asamankese Senior High Mr Sampson Afrifa has called for a speedy work on ongoing projects in the school.

These projects he indicated are the girls dormitory which was being funded by the GetFund which was commence in 2006.

This project, Mr Afrifa noted has not been completed up till date. In view of the delay in completing the project, management of the school is calling for speedy work to commence for students to get access to the dormitory.

He added that there was no administration block and so the school authorities had to convert some classrooms to serve that purpose, having , serious toll on academic excellence since students have to contend with inadequate classroom block, leading to some studying under sheds and trees.

The Headmaster of the school said, the school which was established in 1963 now has student?s population of two thousand three hundred, ninety four teachers and non teachers.

He mentioned there are other major challenges confronting the school in areas of accommodation for teachers, school fees payment, assembly hall, dining hall, rehabilitating of road leading to the school premises, library, inadequate computers and computer laboratory.

He pleaded with the government and all and sundry to come to their aid.

Mr Sampson emphasized that the school is presenting about eight hundred and fifty nine students for the WASSCE, hoping to get the hundred pass as usual.

He added that the school is celebrating its 50th anniversary launched in April, calling past students of the school to come and support them.
