The members of the various clans that constitute the Gbawe Kwatei Family from Gbawe of Asene, have honoured 92 years Nii Adam Kwatei Quartey, Head of the Family at a ceremony for his outstanding leadership exhibited over his 42 years reign.
According to Principal Elders and family members, Nii Adam Kwatei Quartey’s leadership is divinely favoured as he has been the major pillar by which the Adam Kwatei Family rests.
At a ceremony organized in his honour, speaker after speaker including Imams, Chiefs, such as Nii Laryea Faaminte, Chie of Gbawe, and Heads of families lauded him for his outstanding role in uniting and sustaining the family values.
They noted that Nii Adam Kwatei Quartey has been driven by an ideology that inspired each and everyone in the family.
They thus presented a Citation to him for his role, commitment and outstanding leadership: It reads:
“Nii Adam Kwatei Quartey was appointed as head of family and Dzaasetse in 1973 by the principal Elders of Gbawe Kwatei Family.
We must say emphatically that, for one tjod escribe the leadership style of Nii Adam Kwatei Quartey as Democratic and all inclusive is understatement. We cannot figure out a single imposition of his opinion at any level. Nii Adam Kwatei Quartey will always put the issues on the table for the necessary decision to be taken.
The Blessings that characterized his leadership of which we have been beneficiaries range from Spiritual, Physical, Financial and Material. We believe that the in-depth and profoundness of his advise had made most of us responsible.
Nii Adam Kwatei Quartey is being driven by an ideology that each and everyone can make it and be prosperous in life. His good leadership in land management contributed enormously to the selection of Gbawe as one of the pilot areas of Customary Land Administration in Ghana which was adopted by the World Bank as a guideline for the current ongoing Land Administration Project.
Nii, you have indeed fought for the family in winning enormous court judgements from High Court to Supreme Court and has fiercely championed the boundaries demarcation project to its final completion.
We also appreciate you for putting together a great event that was used to honour our fore-fathers who fought for Gbawe lad.
Smiles, highly hospitable, highly accessible, ready to share the little he has with others, a motivator,?counselor?and above all?his life worth of emulating. Indeed you have left an indelible mark in the minds of all.
We believe that your calling is divinely mandated with heavenly endorsement, and that Allah, the most merciful who has called you will elevate you to a higher pedestal.
You are highly favoured and the supernatural favour of Allah is residing upon you. Nii Adam Kwatei Quartey may you live long to accomplish your purpose on earth.

Nii Adam Kwatei Quartey known in private life as Kwartei Kofi was enstoold in 1973 by the Principal Elders of the Gbawe Kwatei Family as the Dzaasetse and Head of the Gbawe Kwatei Family of Gbawe and was gazetted at the National House of Chefs on 25th September, 2002 with Serial No. 300.
Nii Adam Kwatei Quartey however took the occasion to introduce, 51 year old Nii Laryea Quartey as his successor in the event that he is no more.
He also thanked family members for recognizing his contributions and leadership and achievements.
Speaking to Nii Laryea Quartey, he expressed appreciation to Nii Adam Kwatei Quartey and the entire family for doing him that honour and promised to go by the dictates of what Nii Adam Kwatei Quartey trained him.
He also called for unity and support so as to be able to achieve the vision set by the family.
