Xcess Entertainment, organizers of Hausa Music Festival have released nomination forms for the maiden edition of Hausa Music Awards.
The award scheme seeks to acknowledge and celebrate hard working artiste who use Hausa language to create music
The criteria is such that songs must have 70 percent Hausa language in order to qualify for nomination.
The press release indicated the voting system for the awards will be 20% panel of judges put together by organizers and 80% public voting through a short code system.
Other events leading to the Awards show is a seminar, a nominees pool jam and football gala.
The award has been tipped by entertainment pundits to be one of the most highly anticipated events on the entertainment calender in Ghana and Africa as a whole.
The event’s organizing partners include OM Studios, GB interactive, Afro Vibz entertainment and supported by Musiga.
