?The Harvest Chapel International is as an evangelistic ministry which does not only spread the word of God, but demonstrates the compassion of Christ in all spheres of life,? she stressed.

Mrs. Laryea shared the Gospel with the inmates, and assured them of God?s unconditional love and salvation for sinners. She encouraged the young offenders to submit themselves to the authorities of the Centre in order to be reformed and re-integrated into society.

The Head of Education and Counseling Unit of SCC, Supt. (Mrs.) Victoria Adzewodah, thanked the Daughters of Zion for their generosity towards the inmates, which is in fulfillment of Scripture. She expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the Greater Accra Regional Command.

She emphasised that the Centre, which was formerly known as the Ghana Borstal Institute, is the only correctional institution in the country that admits young offenders between the ages of 13 and 20 to undergo reformation.

Like Oliver Twist, Supt. (Mrs.) Victoria Adzewodah appealed to the Harvest Chapel International to extend a hand of support to the Centre?s ill-equipped infirmary, and the education unit which lacks teaching?learning materials.

She, therefore, called on civil society organisations, churches, and NGOs to come to the aid of the Centre.
The items, which were partly financed by PZ Cussons, Promasidor Ghana Ltd and Twellium Industrial Ltd, were received by the Greater Accra Regional PRO, ASP James B. Annan.

The Daughters of Zion served all the inmates with a total of 150 packs of ?jollof? rice and chicken. The group also distributed a number of reading materials on the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the cheerful inmates.
