Guinea President Alpha Conde on Thursday began his official tour of three African countries that include Equatorial Guinea, Niger and Senegal, official sources in Conakry said Thursday.

The Presidential Press Service said Conde left Conakry on Thursday heading to Malabo, the first stop of his sub-regional tour, where he will participate in Equatorial Guinea’s National Day celebrations on Aug.3, 2015.

The Guinean president will then head to Niger between Aug. 4-5, to participate in a conference to discuss security issues in the West African sub-region as well as post-Ebola economic recovery plans.

Between Aug. 6-8, Conde will be in Dakar to hold talks with Senegalese President Macky Sall on strengthening of bilateral ties between Senegal and Guinea.

The president will equally discuss sub-regional challenges with Sall who is set to take over the rotational presidency of the Economic Community of West African States. Enditem
