The Ghana Real Estate Professionals Association (GREPA) has secured a multi-year grant from the Association of Real Estate License Law Officials (ARELLO) Foundation, providing financial backing for a structured three-year national programme to strengthen licensing education, regulatory compliance, and consumer protection in Ghana’s property market.
The grant will run from 2026 to 2028 and is anchored in the implementation of Ghana’s Real Estate Agency Act, 2020, Act 1047. The initiative encompasses licensing education aligned with the Real Estate Agency Council (REAC) framework, enforcement and brokerage compliance training, consumer awareness outreach, and the development of a digital regulatory learning platform.
GREPA Founder and Chief Executive Officer Victoria Osei Sampah described the award as a significant milestone. “This support from the ARELLO Foundation represents an important step in advancing regulatory professionalism and public trust in Ghana’s real estate sector,” she said. “The initiative strengthens education, accountability, and consumer protection while aligning Ghana’s regulatory framework with global standards.” She confirmed that the digital learning platform has already been activated and that early training cohorts are underway.
Jessica Hickok, Chief Executive Officer of ARELLO and spokesperson for the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, said the grant reflects the organisation’s confidence in GREPA’s work. “Strong real estate markets depend on trust, professionalism, and effective regulation. GREPA’s work moves all three forward,” she said.
The ARELLO Foundation is the philanthropic arm of ARELLO, an international body dedicated to supporting regulatory agencies that administer and enforce real estate licence laws. The Foundation provides grants for research, education, and public protection initiatives that advance professional standards in property markets globally.
The award builds on a period of intensive institutional activity for GREPA, which installed a new Executive Board in December 2025 and secured REAC accreditation for its education affiliate, ACME Institute of Real Estate.
