Anambra Central senatorial zone may have taken the uncanny record of the senatorial zone with the greatest confusion as no fewer than three ‘candidates’-Hon Uche Ekwunife, Senator Annie Okonkwo and Mr Sylvester Okonkwo emerged winners for the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP)in their separate simultaneous primaries held at different locations in Awka on Sunday.

Already, the three have forwarded the names and report of their primaries to the party’s headquarters to sort things out from there.

Elsewhere, Princess Stella Oduah won for the North Zone, while Senator Andy Ubah won for the South zone. However the list of those who ‘won’ in the primary organized by Chief Chris Ubah lackey Ejike Oguebego faction in the South, and North we’re not yet clear, but Senator Annie Okonkwo won in the Central.

Dr Obiora Okonkwo had petitioned the party headquarters over the multiple and confusing lists; Princess Stella Oduah; Senator Annie Okonkwo and Senator Andy Uba as well as Chief Chris Uba have kept tab on the Wadata Plaza to ensure no one beat them to it.

Ekwunife had polled 237 to beat the rest. But citizens especially the members of the party, the confusion was dooms foretold, and a prelude for the party to lower its guards for the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) or the All Progressives Congress(APC) win easily again.

Curiously, no one accepted to intimate the press on the true picture of things, not even the panel from the party headquarters.

Chief Cletus Nwoke, a chieftain of the party wondered why with Chief Olisah Metuh who is a son of the state within the party’s National Working Committee(NWC) he has not deemed it ideal to clean out the acts in the state. He described it as shameful and disgraceful.
