Gov. Ibikunle Amosun

Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun says his administration will continue to improve on the standard of education in the state. Amosun stated this during the centenary celebration of Ijebu-Ode Grammar School in Ijebu-Ode.

The governor, who noted that education remained one of the keys of development, said his administration would continue to provide qualitative and affordable education in the state.

Amosun, who was represented by his deputy, Segun Adesegun, said his government would not relent in rebuilding the state through qualitative education. He said that his administration would also continue to provide free education in both the public primary and secondary schools in the state.

Amosun said that bursary award for students in tertiary institutions had been increased. He said that his administration would also continue to do more in socio-economic development of the state.

While congratulating the association on its centenary celebration, Amosun urged them to use their resources in developing the state.

Earlier in his address, Dipo Bello, the Vice President, Ijebu-Ode Grammar School Old Boys Association, said the celebration was home coming and opportunity for members of the association to unite. Dipo said that the school in the last 100 years had turned out distinguished scholars in the society.
