The launch of the second category dubbed “Entertainment and Arts Awards for Excellence” is to honor industrious entertainment and arts personalities who have used their craft, skill, talent, or artistry as an instrument of change towards making lives better for the less privilege and also gone the extra mile to make society a better place.

The media tour which was mostly featured on the entertainment shows of the stations started from Eastern 105.1 FM then to GBC Sunrise FM through to Goodlife FM, Kingdom FM and then finally Bryt Fm was one that allowed the organizers to serve the good listeners and the entire region with well packaged information and intentions for the next categories. Just as was done in the Greater Accra Region with the first category, the leader of delegation and director of the scheme Mr. Gideon Adjei applauded organizers of other awards schemes but was quick to add that most of such awards have over the years lost or outlived their usefulness and as such has become a normal event on the entertainment calendar.
