gloGlo Mobile Ghana is expected to launch its mobile services Sunday after having been sanctioned to pay an amount of $200,000 for its failure to launch on the stipulated date of April 20, 2012.

Official invitations to various media houses and special guests confirm that the mobile operator is rolling out at an official event Sunday afternoon – April 29, 2012 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.

Glo Mobile Ghana, a subsidiary of Globacom International – a Nigerian-based telecom giant is the sixth mobile operator, licensed to operate in Ghana, but has continually postponed the launch of its operations.

Glo earlier this year launched its number reservation facility which enables the public to reserve their numbers on the 023-3 number series on the Glo Mobile Ghana Network.
