Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo left here on Monday for a day’s official visit to Malta, the presidency said.

The visit is at the invitation of Maltese President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, who visited Ghana under the Akufo-Addo presidency on July 26, 2017.

According to the presidency, the reciprocal visit is aimed at deepening and strengthening the ties that exist between the two countries, as well as exploring other areas of cooperation for their mutual benefit.

While in Malta, the Ghanaian leader will address the Ghana-Malta Business Forum, which is being held to drive Maltese investments into the West African country.

Already, Maltese companies have investments in Ghana to the tune of 19 million U.S. dollars. Enditem
