PV-ObengSpeaker of Parliament pays tribute to PV Obeng

The Speaker of Parliament, Edward Doe Adjaho on Tuesday, described the late Mr Paul Victor Obeng, Senior Presidential Adviser, as a great man who paid his dues to the nation.

The Speaker who visited the home of the bereaved family said the demise of the Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission was an unfortunate incident, adding that he was a man who served Ghana to the full.

Mr Doe Adjaho added that P.V as he was popularly called, sacrificed his life to face the challenges of the country.

He said the late Mr Obeng was non-partisan in all deeds and words and urged Ghanaians especially the leaders to learn lessons from his life.

Dr Foster Abu Sakara, flag bearer of Convention Peoples Party in 2012, also poured out his condolences to the family of the late Mr Obeng.

He said he was a man of harmony and great eloquence as he called on all individuals to imitate him.

The Speaker of Parliament was accompanied by First Deputy Speaker Barton Oduro, Majority Leader Dr Benjamin Kumbour, Deputy Minority leader Dominic Ntiwil, Member of Parliament (MP) for Old Tafo, Dr Anthony Osei, MP for Tema Central, Kofi Brako, Deputy Minority Whip and MP for Tema West, Naa Torshie Addo, among others.
