Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan

Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan will remain with the Black Stars in Gabon despite news that he lost his mother on Thursday.

The midfielder is set to line today against Tunisia in the last quarter final. Annan, 26, currently on loan with Dutch side Vitesse from Schalke (Germany) has been part of the Black Stars set up since 2008 Nations Cup which Ghana hosted.

Meanwhile, Mali have been caught pants down following their qualification to the last eight. The players have been instructed to stop exchanging jerseys after the management made it clear that they hadn’t stocked enough for the event.
