Some fans who watched the match in pubs across the city broke out in jubilation after Mussa Sow scored Senegal?s second goal to complete a famous win over the Black Stars who are chasing a fifth continental glory.

Abram Osei Akoto, who watched the match at Osu, told GNA Sports that ?It was a well deserved victory for Senegal and I could not help but join them in celebration.?

?They are a better side and I am glad they have beaten the Black Stars. Maybe, our players will realize finally that they cannot continue to chase money at the expense of glory for the nation.?

Nii Okai, a bank worker who described himself as a ?friend of Senegal,? said he was glad the Black Starts were beaten and added ?they were lucky, they could have taken more goals. They would have been humiliated if the Senegalese had been a bit clinical in front of goal.?

Nii Okai said ?I pledge to support every team that plays against the Black Stars because I am still not got over their arrogance and unpatriotic attitude at the Brazil World Cup last summer. I like to see them beaten.?

Ghana relinquished an early first half lead scored by Andre Ayew after advancing Christian Astu was adjudged to have been fouled in the Senegalese ?18?.

Atsu was set free by a pass from the middle by Emmanuel Agyeman Badu before Senegalese goalkeeper and captain, Bouna Coundoul, brought him down.

There is a general apathy among Ghanaian football fans following the Black Stars? poor showing at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil where a row over bonuses meant the players refused to train for one day ahead of a crucial last group match against Portugal.

The Black Stars will play Algeria, leaders of Group C on Friday, before wrapping up the group with a meeting against South Africa.
