The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MoTI) in collaboration with Yendi Municipal Assembly has held a day?s sensitisation workshop on Pirated Ghanaian Textile Designs for Textile Dealers and the public at Yendi.

Mr Appiah Donyina, Chairman of the Task Force, called on textile dealers and the public to deal in genuine designs to avoid the wrath of the Task Force, which is to seize and destroy fake textiles.

Mr Issah Zakaria, Municipal Chief Executive said the workshop would help textile dealers in the municipality to identify pirated textiles and avoid selling them.

He urged the public to patronise made in Ghana goods to promote the growth of the country?s economy.

Mr Sarfo Kantanka, Municipal Coordinating Director, who chaired the event, said: ?If Ghanaians want the country?s economy to grow they must patronise made in Ghana goods and stop involving themselves in importing fake materials into the country.? GNA
