Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Wednesday congratulated Emmanuel Macron on his election as the new president of France.

In a statement issued in Accra, Akufo-Addo applauded the determination of the new French leader in his acceptance speech to “fight the divisions that undermine France”, and effect the change the French people voted for.
