Ghana U-20 womens team grab vital away win over South Africa

Florence Dadson was on target

Ghana beat South Africa 2-0 away in the 2012 FIFA Women’s World Cup final qualifying round first leg tie on Saturday.

Second half goals from Florence Dadson and Elizabeth Addo proved enough to secure a vital away win for the Black Princesses.

Dadson broke the game’s deadlock after a goalless first half just five minutes into the second.

Addo put the game played at the Sinaba Stadium in Daveyton beyond the Basetsana with a well taken spot kick.

The result hands the Princesses a massive advantage ahead of the return leg in Accra in a fortnight as they aim to reach their second World Cup finals after their debut in Germany 2010.

Africa has two slots available at the World Cup to be staged in Japan in August this year.
