Minister’s salary_ GHc 15,900 a Month
Deputy minister’s salary – GHc14,800 a Month
15,900× 50 Ministers = GHc 795,000 a Month
14,800× 50 Deputy Ministers =GHc 740,000 a Month.
795,000+740,000=GHc 1,535,000 a Month!
This means that every month Ghc 1,535,000 of tax payer’s money will be spent on 50 ministers and 50 deputy ministers.
Ghc 1,535,000 multiply by 12 Months will be GHc 18,420,000.
Convert that to dollars and we have $4,093,333 as just salaries to Ministers of State!! Now their allowances, perks, per diems etc hasn’t been factored into this equation. Is this what we call protecting the PUBLIC PURSE???
Consuming over $4M just on salaries of Ministers of State?
This represents 60% of the entire wage bill of all Civil Servants in Ghana!!
This animal farm type of politics cannot be tolerated!
My question: Which animal is that, my brother? Big or baby elephant?
