Ghana will play Congo in the second qualifying round of the 2015 Confederation of African Football (CAF) U-23 Championship later this month.

wpid-rszblackmeteors580x473.jpgThe Black Meteors sealed qualification to the second round after defeating Liberia 7-1 on aggregate in the two-legged games both honored in Ghana due to the Ebola situation in Liberia.
The first leg of the Ghana-Congo encounter will take place between the weekend of May 22-24, with the return leg coming off a week later in Brazzaville.
The winner will face Nigeria in July in the final qualifying round for the championship to be hosted in Senegal in December.
The three top teams from the three-nation tournament will represent Africa at the 2016 Olympic Games male football competition in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
The Black Meteors won Africa’s first medal at the Olympic Games after winning bronze at the 1992 edition of the Games in Barcelona, Spain.
Ghana last participated in the Olympic Games in 2004. Enditem
