At the close of bids late Friday, Government of Ghana received1.38 billion Ghana cedis or 312.2 million U.S Dollars from its new Five-year Treasury Bonds issued.

Bids tendered in the issue that was done through Book-building totaled the cedi equivalent 312.2 million dollars, out of which government accepted 312.2 million dollars at a yield of 18.2 percent.


Lead arrangers in the issue were Barclays Bank, Stanbic Bank and the Strategic African Securities.

The bond issue was opened to both domestic and offshore investors and settlement date is Monday, August 21, 2017.

In its debt management strategy government has been substituting its short-term debts for longer-dated ones. Enditem
