Former Deputy Information Minister Sylvester Tetteh has launched scathing criticism against President John Mahama’s administration, alleging “gross mismanagement” has plunged Ghana into economic distress.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart declared his party would win “hands down” if elections were held today, during a Sompa FM/TV interview monitored on Wednesday.
Tetteh accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government of reversing national progress through “managerial incompetence,” citing unemployment and governance failures. He referenced Mahama’s recent comment about having “too many Members of Parliament to give jobs to” as evidence that NDC legislators lack utility in national development.
The former minister reserved particular condemnation for the government’s new fuel levy, branding it a “demonic levy” that threatens economic stability. “This extreme policy will destroy our country if unchecked,” Tetteh asserted. “Ordinary citizens are bearing unsustainable hardship while the government demonstrates reckless fiscal judgment.”
