Speaking to Ghana News Agency, in Accra he noted that Christmas is a time of peace and reconciliation where the people of God need to put aside every grudge, hurt and pain to unite with each other and celebrate the peace that Christ has brought to them.

?This is because nothing positive can be achieved by the children of God without peace,? he added.

He said although there are hardships in the country, Ghanaians should not let the situation overshadow the joy that the birth of Christ has brought to them.

Rev Fr Duah Prempeh indicated that it is necessary for Ghanaians to put aside ethnic sentiments since at the end of the day, all citizens are called Ghanaians and not by their ethnic groups across the globe.

He also asked the people of God not to let partisan politics or religious denominations divide them since political parties came to meet them united.

?Parties will go and Ghana will still exist. It is only when we are united that we can stand as a people,? he added.

Rev Fr Francis Dorlagbenu, who spoke on the theme: ?Comforting my people,? asked the congregation to do away with the mindset that 2015 would bring nothing good in their lives and rather use the words Isaiah delivered to Israel to console themselves and accept that all hope is not lost.
