wpid-ghanaflag.gifIn the midst of reported incidents of purported commotion by some supporters of the two main political parties, NPP and NDC, Ghanaians have been advised to remain calm before and after the verdict of the Supreme Court ruling on the 2012 election petition.

In view of this, leaders of the two political parties have also been cautioned to respect the verdict and also warn their supporters to desist from any act of mayhem that may have the tendency of ruining the peace of the country.

As part of efforts to help maintain this peace the Samaria Miracle Church last Sunday, 21st July, 2013 held a prayer festival for the peace of the nation.

The Founder and Leader of the Church Herr Divine Apostle Sagradores, Bishop (Mrs) Esther Bediako gave the advise when she cut the sod for the construction of a one-storey, 800 capacity church auditoriums with conference hall and offices estimated at a cost of about GH?500,000 at Egya Ebusua at Agona Swedru in the Central Region.

Addressing the congregation at the prayer festival, Bishop (Mrs) Esther Bediako noted that the political tension in the country is so high and as such there is the need to pray for the country to ensure peace after the Supreme Court ruling.

According to her the country cannot develop without a peaceful atmosphere citing other African countries that have been bedevilled with war because of political division.

With branches all over the country Bishop (Mrs) Bediako hinted that the prayer festival was held simultaneously in all the churches.
