Garu Constituency MP Dr. Thomas Anaba has called for public patience amid the constitutional investigation into suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, warning against prejudging the outcome.
Speaking on Channel One Newsroom, Anaba emphasized the ongoing process remains unresolved: “No one knows whether she will be removed or exonerated. We only know there’s a probe underway.”
The legislator criticized commentators and groups implying predetermined conclusions as “putting the cart before the horse,” stating such speculation misrepresents Ghana’s legal framework. He clarified the Executive’s role was procedural rather than initiatory: “The President acted in accordance with constitutional obligations—government didn’t originate this petition.”
Anaba’s intervention comes amid heightened political discourse surrounding Torkornoo’s suspension over undisclosed petitions. He stressed constitutional processes must unfold without interference, urging media and public to avoid influencing the independent investigation.
