Govt has presented free farm inputs to coffee farmers in Dormaa Municipality of the Brong-Ahafo Region.

The items includes 436 bags of fertilizers, an unspecified number of cutlasses and wellington boots to more than 150 coffee farmers, drawn from Twapease, Sromani, Asunsu, Atesikrom and Antwirifi in Dormaa.

Dr. George Opoku, the Deputy Director of Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana said that government is investing huge amounts of human and financial resources into coffee production.

He said this when he inaugurated the Dormaa Area Coffee Farmers Association in the Brong ? Ahafo Region.

Mr. Michael Owusu Manu, Senior Research Manager of Ghana Coco Board, said under a four year project being funded by government at a cost of GH?4.2 million, more than 2,500 hectares of coffee farms had been established in the country.
