Harrison Afful celebrates third league gong with team-mates

Ghana full-back Harrison Aful is on over the moon for his third consecutive Tunisian Ligue 1 title with Esperance.

The 26-year-old starred in the Mkachkha?s 3-2 derby victory over Club Africain in the penultimate fixture on Wednesday to preserve their five-point lead and claimed their third title on a trot.

The former Asante Kotoko versatile wing-half has played 26 games for the Tunis-based side and scored once all competitions this season.

He says he is thrilled with yet another title.

?I?m happy to win the title once again. It is difficult league but we have managed win it. The fans and everybody is happy.? He told Accra-based Happy FM.

Afful admits he had psychological challenge over his successful in North African country.

?Before coming here, there were concerns about the success of Ghanaian players in Tunisia but I have done it three times and as a result, the club has signed Emmanuel Clottey from Berekum Chelsea.?

Afful?s impressive performance has helped propel Esperance to the quarter-finals of the Caf Champions League competition where they face Congolese giants TP Mazembe.

?We have played against TP Mazembe before so we know how they play. They are a very good side so we have to be careful with them.? He added.
