Makeup Ghana has launched nominations for the 9th Ghana Beauty Awards (GBA) under the theme “THRIVE,” spotlighting excellence across the country’s beauty and wellness sector.
The prestigious ceremony will recognize innovators in 31 categories including makeup artistry, hair care, skincare, content creation, and product manufacturing at Labadi Beach Hotel’s Omanye Hall on October 24, 2025. Nominations remain open through August 3 via the awards’ official website.
Founder Lady Rebecca Donkor emphasized this year’s focus on celebrating “growth, resilience, and creativity” within Ghana’s rapidly evolving beauty landscape. The awards aim to honour both industry pioneers and emerging talents shaping standards in beauty professionalism and business innovation. A structured evaluation process involving public voting and expert judging will follow the nomination phase.
Organized by social enterprise Makeup Ghana, the GBA reinforces efforts to unify stakeholders and elevate industry standards through advocacy, education, and recognition programs. Since its inception, the awards have highlighted contributions to Ghana’s economic growth while fostering talent development across Africa’s beauty ecosystem.
