The construction of Ghana?s first Free port at Atuabo is set to commence on schedule in the fourth quarter of this year, following the commencement of soil testing by the China Harbour Engineering Company, which is the contractor.

The 700 million dollar Atuabo Freeport will be operational by 2017 and will provide a dedicated one-stop service and logistics hub for Ghana?s Petroleum industry and the Gulf Of Guinea.
