Wing Commander David Nkansah, the Flight Commander at the Ghana Airforce Base, in Accra, told the GNA that, the patronage of the flight demonstration started in the early hours of the day.

The first flight CASA-295, which carried more than 100 passengers, took off at about 0900 hours.

Flight CASA-295 gained an altitude of 1,500 feet above sea level, however, when it began its descent, both the adult and children passengers panicked and screamed loudly, fearful that something had gone amiss.

But, some of the children, sharing their experience after disembarking, said they would love to fly again.

An official said 569 kids were flown in 2015 with the Helicopter flying six times.

This, however, could not cover all the patrons, thus leaving them disappointed.

Some of the military aircrafts that were on display on the tarmac were; M1-17 Helicopter, Z9-EH Helicopter, K8 China Aircraft Jet Fighter and the Old Presidential Aircraft.

At the ‘Recce’ Headquarters at Burma Camp, a large number of school pupils were carried in the various types of armoured vehicles to where the military horses were kept to experience a ride on the horse back.
