Ghacem rewards customers

GHACEM Limited recently acknowledged the efforts of its customers and distributors at an awards night in Kumasi.

Many customers across the country received various awards at the Golden Tulip Hotel.

The awardees also received various allocations of cement for their hard work in 2013.

Consar Limited was adjudged the Overall Best Direct Customer for using about 35,000 tonnes of cement for its projects in the year 2013.

The Top Distributor award went to Isaac Owusu Ansah Enterprise of Kumasi Sales for selling about 75,000 tonnes of cement while Nana K. Gyasi Company Limited also from Kumasi Sales emerged as the 1st Runner-up for selling about 66,500 tonnes of cement.

The 2nd Runner-up position was won by Doris Appiah Enterprise, five times champion from the Takoradi Sales for selling 53,000 tonnes of cement.

The Managing Director of GHACEM, Morten Gade, in an address, thanked the customers for their loyalty.

Since its establishment in August 1967, he said GHACEM has maintained its position as market leader in Ghana by holding many corporate social responsibility activities.

Touching on the GHACEM Cement Foundation founded in 2002, he said it had donated about 385,000 bags of cement at an equivalent market value of about GH?8 million to construct health and educational facilities in deprived areas of the country.

Nana Philip Archer, Commercial Director of GHACEM said, ?GHACEM will be competitive and offer customer-led solutions through quality service delivery and offer improved customer service by reducing waiting time at the plants, improving availability of cement at the depots and training our staff to be more professional in the discharge of our market actions.?
