Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi optimistic of 2014 World Cup qualification.

Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi has assured qualification to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The Black Stars are seeking a third successive appearance at the mundial but currently find themselves in second place behind leaders Zambia in Group D.

Ghana must finish top of the table to advance to the third qualifying round which will ten teams- the five winners progress to the finals.

The 2010 FIFA World Cup quarter-finalists play two crucial qualifiers this month; first against Sudan in Omdurman on 7 June and another away match to Lesotho nine days later.

Kwesi Appiah and his troops camped in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for five days.

?You can see for yourself that the boys are doing well and we are leaving no stone unturned to get the slot which we can?t afford to lose,? Nyantakyi spoke to Kumasi-based Metro FM.

?The GFA is very serious about our qualification and that?s why we had to move the team all the way from Ghana to Ethiopia here, so that the players can get acquainted with the weather which is similar to that of Sudan.?

Ghana reached the second round on their debut World Cup appearance in Germany 2006 and bettered than four years later.
