George Afriyie is unhappy with Kotoko's response

Ghana Fa Member Afriyie Taunts Kotoko On Home Ban, Drag Us To Supreme Court!

By Patrick Akoto

Ghana FA Executive Committee member George Afriyie has mocked Kotoko on their home ban saying  they can drag the FA to the supreme court if they?re unhappy with the decision.

The defending League champions have questioned the authority of the Executive Committee to temporarily shut down the Baba Yara stadium due to crowd violence.

The Porcupine Warriors have not taken kindly to the verdict and has in a response sort to downplay the decision of the body by quoting portions of the FA?s own regulations to buttress their claims.

They claim the Executive Committee do not have the mandate to ban them from using the venue and alleged self-centered individuals who are focused on destabilizing the focus of the team masterminded the decision of the FA.

But the Ghana Under-20 chief has rubbished such suggestions and counseled the club to drag the FA to court if it?s unhappy.

?Kotoko cannot tell us what they want us to do. They erred and we have taken a decision, an incensed Afriyie fumed on Happy FM

?They have to go to Sunyani for their upcoming game. They cannot tell us what we have to do.

?Why should we ban King Faisal from using the Baba Yara sports stadium when they have done nothing wrong? he quizzed

?Did the FA tell their fans to throw missiles onto the pitch? Did the FA tell them to do what they did to the Medeama SC players, officials and even their Bus?

?We have the letter, which I know Ben Nti wrote, because he signed it as the administrative Manager.

? But  I know he doesn?t understand some of the regulations of the FA. If they don?t understand they can take the GFA to the Supreme Court. It is as simple as that.?

The Ghana FA is determined to clamp down on hooliganism which has reared its ugly heard in recent times.
