Mr Dornoo said 60 years on, GCB had not only offered banking services to the nation but also broadened its scope of operation from small businesses to large corporate entities, with 158 branches throughout the country.

He said ?GCB?s anniversary comes at a time when Ghana has discovered oil”, adding that the GCB in its 60th year was well-resourced and well -positioned to drive the new Ghanaian economy with the oil industry playing a major role.

He said as part of the celebration, GCB would outdoor a new ultra-modern retail branch designed to fit the refurbished GCB brand.

Mr Dornoo said other activities lined up for the anniversary include round table discussion among representatives of financial institutions in Ghana and special corporate social services to communities.
