The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has outdoored new uniforms for its female staff to mark the beginning of this year?s International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) week celebration.

Addressing staff of the authority at a brief ceremony on Wednesday, Air Commdore Victor Kwame Mamphey (Rtd), Director General of GCAA,  entreated them to let their new uniforms portray the authority and Ghana as a global brand and also to signify unity amongst staff.

Commenting on the theme for this year?s celebration, which is ?Aviation: Your Reliable Connection to the World,? he expressed the hope that in the coming years, GCAA would be able to achieve more for aviation in Ghana and for the global aviation industry, especially by ensuring that connections in technologies such as the Performance Based Navigation were completed.

He stressed the benefits of ICAO to member states in providing safe and efficient commercial air transport operations, liberalizing access to air transport routes, enhancing ability to expand international trade and enhancing economic development.

The new uniforms are skirt and trouser suits in two shades of blue, the GCAA?s corporate colours, with GCAA branded scarves and neck ties for the gentlemen.
