King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II legitimately installed Ga Mantse after 2015 Regional House of Chiefs' ruling

He said he recognised how sensitive the duties of journalists were and urged them to check their facts before publishing what would end up destroying public peace.

Nii Latse, who made the call at a news conference on behalf of the Ga-Dangbe people at his palace in Accra, also asked the media to be highly circumspect in their duties on December 7 and its processes to avoid confusion.

He also called on stakeholders, particularly the Electoral Commission, political parties, flag-bearers and their supporters to focus on things that would promote peace instead of creating fear and panic.

‘’It is my fervent wish that the elections are conducted in a peaceful atmosphere, devoid of strife… Ghana has been to the polls six times and earned creditably to the admiration of other countries, ‘he said.

The Ga Mantse said a good number of prominent people have stressed the need for utmost calm and peace in the political discourse.

‘’ After all, we are all Ghanaians and have only one Ghana, so let us pledge to come out of this seventh election exercise as a more peaceful and peace-loving people worthy of emulation by our sister countries,’ he added.
He asked Government not tolerate electoral violence because it slowed down development and asked the people to report the trouble makers to the police.

Nii Latse , congratulated Togbe Afede XIV, for being elected as the President of the National House of Chiefs and Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona IV , as the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs.
Mr Ebenezer Tetteh Wayo of the National Commission on Civic Education took the chiefs through their rights and responsibilities of elections procedures.
