Ghanaian defender Jerry Akaminko is on the radar of Fulham

By Patrick Akoto

English side Fulham is weighing up a bid to sign Ghana international Jerry Akaminko.

Fulham boss Martin Jol is reported to be a key admirer of the Maniaspor powerful defender and is planning to swoop for his services.

Maniaspor could be tempted to sell the former Heart of Lions defender following their relegation from the Turkish top-flight.

Akaminko was signed by Orduspor in 2008 and helped the Black sea club gain promotion to the Turkish Super League but opted to join Maniaspor as a free agent.

He was voted Ghana’s best defender on the domestic scene in 2008.
