French pianist to perform in Namibia, Angola, Kenya

French pianist Simon Ghraichy will for the first time perform in Namibia’s capital Windhoek on Feb. 20 as part of his African tour that will also take him to Angola and Kenya.

The French pianist with Mexican and Lebanese background is renowned for his unique personal style defined with rich, diverse cultural influences.

The Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) Communication Officer Alexandrine Guinot on Wednesday said Ghraichy’s public performance in Windhoek will take place at the National Theatre of Namibia.

“The pianist will also be giving a masterclass to Namibian pianists,” he added.

Ghraichy has previously performed in the Berliner Philharmoniker, Theatre des Champs-Elysees in Paris, France and the Carnegie Hall in New York. Enditem
