A delegation of investors from France will visit Zambia next month on a fact-finding mission to explore the southern African nation’s investment opportunities, Zambia’s investment agency said on Friday.
ZambiaThe delegation, from the Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF International), an organization representing the private sector in France, will be in Zambia from June 1 to 3 to hold a series of meetings with government officials and the local business community, according to a statement released by the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA).
The delegation, to be led by Gerard Wolf, the vice-chairman of MEDEF Africa Committee, will hold discussions with government officials on Zambia’s economy and possible projects in order to strengthen the existing bilateral economic relationship between the two countries.
“MEDEF says this will be the first ever visit to Zambia and has expressed happiness with the opportunity to meet with ZDA management to discuss business opportunities in Zambia, one of Africa’s growth engines,” the statement said.
The Zambian investment agency is expected to make a presentation to the delegation on the country’s fiscal framework, the business environment and business possibilities, potentialities and opportunities.
MEDEF International is the most representative organization of the French private sector at international level. It represents the French Business Confederation (MEDEF) and its 800,000 companies, in the world. Enditem
