Right Rev. Dr Yaw Frimpong-Manso, former moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana on Sunday launched a 289 page book entitled ‘Pulpit Insight’.

The book is made up of all his sermons and teachings when he was the moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church.

Speaking at the launch, he noted that, the decision to compile his sermons into a book was borne out of his desire to ensure that future generations benefit from teachings inspired by the Holy Spirit.

He said proceeds from the book would be used to build a recreational centre for retired reverend ministers and catechist of the church and also cater for their wellbeing.

“I have two plots of land in Accra and I hope to use the proceeds from the book to put up a recreational centre, where retired ministers could relax and listen to the word of God”, he said.

He bemoaned instances where retired ministers and catechists find life difficult due to improper planning during their active days.

He said the first three copies of the book were given to former presidents Rawlings and Kuffuor and President Mills.

Dr Lawrence Tetteh, an International evangelist, who did the launching and the auctioning of the book, noted that a lot of inspirational message were not utilized fully due to improper documentation.

He praised the former moderator for his decision to come out with a compilation of his message during his tenure as the moderator.

Forty -one topics were treated in the book and includes ‘You cannot Serve God and Money’, Jesus the Suffering Servant’, Be a Worker Approved by God’ and Pressing on to Maturity’.

The first copy of the book was bought for GHC20, 000.00.
