A former CEO of Hearts of Oak Vincent Sowah Odotei is eyeing the La-Dadekotopon seat for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Odotei, who failed in his bid to become the president of the Ghana Football Association, joins several well-known professionals such as ace broadcaster Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, Marketing Consultant George Andah and lawyer Egbert Faibille Jnr who will be contesting the NPP primaries in various constituencies.

Odotei said the main reason he is going into politics is to transform the lives of the poor.

?Our politics and football go hand in hand. The main reason why I entered football was to modernise the game. I have not been successful, but I am taking that same spirit, endevour and vision into politics to see if I can help my people in the La constituency,? ?Obama? told Starr News.

?I have always been a political being. I was very active during my student days. I have been president of the La Youth Association and I am a card bearing member of the NPP and I meet all the criteria.?

The seat is currently being held by the NDC?s Nii Amasa Namoale.
