Ghanaian broadcaster and ex-Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) Board Chairman Paul Adom-Otchere remains in custody after failing to meet bail conditions set by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
Official records confirm his detention relates to an ongoing investigation into a controversial revenue assurance contract awarded without competitive procurement.
Adom-Otchere and two others GACL’s Otchere Kwame Baffour Awuah and Devnest Systems CEO Albert Adjetey Adjei-Laryea -face formal charges.
The OSP requires Adom-Otchere to present two Ghana-registered landed properties for bail, but investigators state he claims no such ownership.
The probe centers on alleged breaches of procurement laws, including sole-sourced contract awards lacking GACL board approval.
The contract involves Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Limited (SML), a firm under prior scrutiny for similar government agreements. This marks the OSP’s latest action targeting non-competitive public contracts.
As a state entity managing Kotoka International Airport and other facilities, GACL’s procurement compliance remains critical.
