Forewin Ghana Limited, a leading Distribution and Marketing Company has marked its 20th anniversary at their north industrial area headquarters by rewarding over 300 of its loyal customers. This figure constitutes wholesalers, retailers and cash and carry operators throughout the country.

This whole event took the form of a draw conducted by the National Lottery Authority to ensure transparency and fair play of the draw. Items won by various customers were: 1 TATA Sedan Car, 3 TATA Ace, BEKOFridges and Freezers, TV Sets, Generators, Motor bikes, Microwave ovens, Air conditioners, Laptops, Mobile phones, Blenders, etc.

The ultimate prize of Tata Sedan Saloon Car was won by Opoku Trading Enterprise from Kumasi who incidentally won another Tata Ace Car and other items. Companies like Step Jay from Takoradi also won a couple of items followed by My Peak Enterprise who also won a number of items. It is interesting to note that Ashanti and Western regions customers were the largest beneficiaries of these items amounting to 315 as give aways.

Later in an interview with the Human Resource Manager, Mr. Alexander Kyerematen, he told the Business Eye that a company that began in a small retail shop at Adabraka in 1993 with only two items has grown from leaps and bounds into a giant distribution and marketing company with over 50 cash and carry outlets and3 regional headquarters in Ghana.

He further disclosed that the company deals in 80 international brands; 950 different products in Ghana. He argued that it is the biggest independent private marketing and distribution company in Ghana today and they operate in every region of Ghana. To ensure quick repaid distribution of its products, he revealed that Forewin Ghana Limited uses over 300 vehicles as mobile vans and trailers plying the country?s roads on daily basis.

In recruitment of personnel, he told the business eye that, today, workforce is about 750 staff and it?s their wish and hopes that sooner than expected the company would grow more.

On the issue of the company?s social obligations, he again gave an account of some donations to The Korle Bu Cardio Centre, a school in Tamale and a renovation of a school at Tesano in Accra. He promised some more in the coming years; all things being equal in the company.

He took the opportunity to thank all customers, workers, management and everybody who has been part of the success story of the company.

Some customers this paper spoke to later expressed their uttermost satisfaction and confidence about their relationship with the company and wished them happy anniversary and more cordial relationship between them in the coming years.
