Five armed robbers were killed and two injured in a police raid after a group of armed robbers attacked a sport betting house at Wellington Village late Wednesday.

Police Inspector General Francis Munu told local media that after an exchange of gunshots, police overpowered the armed robbers, killing five and injuring two of them.

The inspector general commended the youths of the area, who extended their help during the gunfight, for their bravery, and emphasized community engagement in fighting crime.
