Ghanaian musician Fancy Gadam has endorsed the Youth Employment Agency’s (YEA) collaboration with Shatta Wale’s SHAXI platform, designed to create thousands of jobs for Ghanaian youth by easing operational costs for drivers and boosting participation in the transport sector.

The Tamale-based artist, born Mujahid Ahmed Bello, now expresses his desire to partner with the YEA to extend similar job creation initiatives to the Northern Regions.

Speaking during an interview on Property FM in Cape Coast, Fancy Gadam highlighted his own efforts while contrasting his resources with Shatta Wale’s.

“In my case unlike Shatta Wale who’s so rich, I’ve also bought a motorcycle to give to a fan who would attend my upcoming event,” he stated. “This shows that if I have the resources I could do more for my people so that more people can get motorcycles.”

Fancy Gadam confirmed his intention to engage directly with the YEA, noting the current absence of the SHAXI initiative in the north. “ShaXi doesn’t operate here in the Northern Region so I will also look at other initiatives and discuss with the Youth Employment Agency,” he revealed.

He specifically mentioned communicating the needs of the north to YEA Deputy Executive Secretary Malik Basintale, asserting, “I would let Malik Basintale understand that our people here also need our share of the numerous job initiatives by the YEA.” His call underscores ongoing discussions about ensuring equitable distribution of national employment programs across Ghana’s regions.
