An explosion took place near the bus station in Diyarbakir province in southeastern Turkey on Thursday and many ambulances were dispatched to the scene, private Dogan news agency reported.

The city has been a home to many civilisations and the surrounding area including itself is home to many Mesolithic era stone carvings and artifacts.
